newseadNewstead will never feel commercial but it will always be exceptional. Since the first harvest a few years ago, its wines have won awards (including a Michelangelo double gold) and elevated the region’s winemaking credentials, while its picnics in the vineyards, summer solstice parties and bespoke events have attracted visitors and groups from out of town and country.

This summer, Newstead has opened its much anticipated Bubble Bar. Its tasting room has newly added home bakes, and its garden has newly planted home growns: peaches, figs, pomegranates and seasonal vegetables – much of which will be used by the international chef who is here for the season.

Fresh and made from scratch will be the order of the summer. Attention to detail is standard, year round. And the warm, welcoming, no airs or graces ambience lingers long after your visit.

Simple and sophisticated, this Sauvignon Blanc is full of flavour, with a subtle lime, gooseberry and passion fruit aroma. It’s fresh, unique and delicious, and we try to savour it slowly (but we usually don’t succeed).

Our Rosé bubbly is much anticipated, and well worth the wait. With delicious raspberry flavours and hints of red berries, it’s luminant, elegant and silky. Which is much like we feel when we drink it.
